Elk
Native to North America & Asia
Male elk have large antlers which are shed each year. These antlers are collected by our Rangers and are available in our Gift Shop. Males also engage in ritualized mating behaviors during the rut or mating season, including posturing, antler wrestling, and bugling, which attracts females.

Fallow Deer
Native to Western Eurasia
The fallow deer was spread across central Europe by the Romans. The species has great variations in the color of their coats, with four main variants. The white is the lightest colored, almost white; common and menil are darker, and melanistic is very dark, sometimes even black.

Zebra
Native to Africa
The unique stripes of zebras make them one of the animals most familiar to people. They occur in a variety of habitats, such as grasslands, savannas, woodlands, thorny scrublands, mountains, and coastal hills. Zebras have excellent eyesight. It is believed that they can see in color and have good night vision.
